As our 2026 Magic Camp events are now open for booking, we wanted to reshare two powerful student experiences from our 2025 camps: Dustin’s testimony from the US Maryland camp, and another student reflection from the Mexico camp in Sayulita. Both reflect the same core theme: direct training, immersive practice, and a small-group environment can create breakthroughs that are very hard to achieve alone. The Magic Camp site currently lists 2026 events in Mexico, Bali, Spain, Maryland, Chiang Mai, and Portugal, with Spain, Maryland, and Chiang Mai among the currently promoted international training locations. (Magic Camp)
If you are thinking of joining us in 2026, book in early. We are only taking small groups, and that small-group format is a major part of what makes the training so effective.
Dustin’s Experience — Maryland Camp 2025
In the Maryland 2025 Level 1 camp, Dustin described the event as “completely life-changing.” The Magic Camp blog post introducing his video says that students at this event made “huge breakthroughs,” and Dustin’s interview makes clear why.
Before attending the live training, Dustin had spent years trying to work through Initiation into Hermetics on his own. He explains that he first picked up the book around ten years earlier, then struggled to understand what he was reading, put it aside, and only later returned to the practices in a more serious way. Even then, he kept running into the same problems many solitary practitioners face: uncertainty about what the techniques were supposed to feel like, confusion about whether he was doing them correctly, and a sense that mastering everything step by step alone could take many years.
After just one week at Magic Camp, he says he came away with a strong grasp of the main goals of the first book. In his testimony, he describes being able to work with electric and magnetic fluids, elemental equilibrium, Akasha, non-dual light, and the awakening of clairvoyant and related perceptual abilities. What stands out most in his reflection is not only the amount covered, but the confidence that came from direct correction, live demonstration, and the ability to verify the practice through immediate experience.
He also speaks about the way this training connects directly to his work with clients. For Dustin, increased perceptual clarity means being able to gather more information, understand what is happening more deeply, and choose the right tools more effectively. He frames the camp not as abstract study, but as a practical system that can sharpen both spiritual work and professional work.
Another theme in his testimony is how much the in-person format changed the experience compared with studying alone or even going through online materials. He explains that having a mentor physically present to guide the posture, the mechanics, and the subtle points of technique made a massive difference. He also highlights the value of group work, saying that certain experiences simply do not happen in the same way when practicing alone.
Just as importantly, Dustin describes the group atmosphere as affirming, safe, fun, and deeply committed. For someone who had spent a long time practicing in isolation, meeting like-minded practitioners and forming real connections was one of the major gifts of the week. He presents the camp not only as a place to learn techniques, but as a place to undergo real transformation alongside others walking a similar path.
His conclusion is clear: the value of the training far outweighed the price, the learning curve was dramatically shortened, and the entire experience gave him a reliable path of practice to take home and continue. For anyone on the fence, his message is simple: if you feel drawn to it, take that seriously.
Another Student Experience — Sayulita, Mexico Camp 2025
We also want to reshare another student experience from the Sayulita, Mexico camp, originally published on the Magic Camp blog in March 2025. That post gives a vivid picture of the rhythm, environment, and flow of a full training week.
Arrival and Setting
The student arrived at the venue on Sunday around midday and was immediately welcomed by SixtySkills and the other attendees. One of the first impressions was the location itself: a beautiful setting high on a hill, with wide views across the valley and the feeling of being in an oasis in the middle of the jungle. That atmosphere set the tone for the week ahead.
Monday — Opening Ceremony and First Practices
Monday began early with an opening ceremony in which SixtySkills formally welcomed the participants and explained the schedule for the week. From there, the training moved quickly into practice. The group started with meditations to prepare mentally, then standing postures to get the energy moving. After lunch, they moved into physical training with basic rebounding exercises, a letter sit, and rebounding with that letter. The day closed with another group meditation to clear the energies.
Tuesday — Pranayama, Elements, and Equilibrium
Tuesday morning began with a lecture on Ermei Mountain Diamond Palm Pranayama, followed by practice. The group continued with another letter sit and work with rebounding through the elements. After lunch, they returned to seated practice focused on equilibrium. The day concluded with breath retention exercises done underwater in the pool.
Wednesday — Beach Practice, Longevity, and Evocation
Wednesday started at sunrise on the beach. The group practiced pranayama and walking with the electric and magnetic lines, then returned to the venue. Later, SixtySkills gave a lecture on longevity and how the training can enhance it. This was followed by the Three Releases and an evocation of one of the geniuses from Bardon’s second book. The day ended with rebounding using the elements.
Thursday — Weighted Walking, Eucharist, Crystal, Akasha, and Non-Dual Light
Thursday morning again began on the beach at sunrise. The group practiced pranayama and weighted walking with the elements, followed by a guided sit on the beach and breath retention in the Pacific Ocean. Back at the venue, the group prepared for another evocation, which the student describes as powerful. The day also included a lecture on the Holy Eucharist, a demonstration with The Living Crystal, the charging of food and drink, yoga nidra, rebounding with Akasha and Non-Dual Light, and a lecture on the Zero Point method followed by a guided meditation using it.
Friday — Final Training and Closing Ceremony
Friday began before dawn on the beach with pranayama, a short equilibrium sit, and weighted walking with Akasha and Non-Dual Light. Back at the venue there was time for Q&A, followed after lunch by a lecture and demonstration of moxibustion techniques, then a Tibetan Trulkhor demonstration. The group finished with one final Akasha and Non-Dual Light sit before SixtySkills closed the week with a powerful closing ceremony.
Overall Reflection
The student’s final assessment is that it was remarkable how much SixtySkills was able to fit into a single week. Although the camp involved a lot of work, it was not described as overly exhausting. Just as in Dustin’s Maryland testimony, another major theme was the chance to meet serious practitioners, form new friendships, and come away with both inspiration and practical results. The student ends by strongly recommending future SixtySkills seminars and says attendees will not be disappointed.

The Three Transformations – Free Course
The ancient Chinese sages spoke of jing, chi and shen. The Hermeticists of old spoke of vital, astral and mental energies. Both spoke of ways to convert one energy into another. And the Three Transformations were born!
Ever wonder how to do this exactly? Wonder no more. It turns out this is not some mysterious thing that exists only for the greatest of saints. All the details behind how to convert one of the basic natal energies into another, why you would want to perform the Three Transformation and the various issues involved are included in this SixtySkills course.
I recently had the pleasure of talking with George Mensink after receiving a recommendation from a mutual friend. This allowed us to have a discussion about the possibility of George sharing his approach to practice via a course on Perseus. This was a fruitful discussion and it always a pleasure to talk with other practitioners. In today’s interview you get to see some of his background and views on practice. If you enjoy this interview, then please leave us a comment and share the post with those you feel would be interested.
Interview
Death, Nursing, and a Life Shaped by Farewell
PAA: You’ve been an ICU nurse for over 30 years, and in your book Als het Licht Uitgaat you share more than 50 short stories about your experiences with illness, dying, farewell, and grief. How have these profound experiences with death – both in your personal life and in caring for patients – impacted your spiritual outlook and the way you approach healing others?
Death and me go hand in hand. It is like Cheyenne describing the Harmonica Man to Jill in Once upon a Time in the West: “there is something, around him, that has to do with Death”. It is almost the same as my mentor Ann told me: “Death and you walk hand in hand”. Ann was a good friend and a mentor, she passed away this year.
As a young boy I can remember I dug up a dead mole with my neighbour girlfriend, just to watch and observe it. The mole was found dead by my father and he buried it. I was so curious I dug it up and watched it. I can remember I was fascinated by it. A dead animal. It made me wonder and think about what death was. I was about five years old at that time.
My mother died when I was 13 due to an auto immune disease, my guardian, the sister of my father, my aunt, died when I was 18. I was very attached to my mother and after her death I had some problems with the girlfriends my father was dating and was sent away to my guardian and we had long conversations, so she became very important to me as well. And she was killed in a car accident when I was 18.
My brother committed suicide when I was 33 (he was 27) and my father died when I was 37. So I had my share of death in my personal life. Somehow these experiences helped me when guiding people to the end of their life and it was a great help when I supported the relatives who were in the process of loosing a lost one.
As an ICU nurse I was involved many times when a treatment was ended and sometimes people were fully conscious and aware that life was going to end. Fast. It often led to deep discussions about life and what will come after. And of course: was life worth living? What are the true meanings of life?
At work it is something I am quite good in. It is a combination of knowledge about anatomy/pathology, human knowledge and empathy. Through the years I have learned to feel the patient and their family and know how to guide them through the end.
One of the things I have learned is that all the earthly things are relative, but at the same time valuable. Life must be lived. Preferably to the max, in my opinion. Don’t postpone, do it and do it now. Later is something that does not always come.
Runes, Myth, and the Circle of Life
PAA: Your recent book Runenliederen is a collection of songs/poems that, using the ancient runic script, “sing the circle of life from beginning to end.” What drew you to the wisdom of the runes and Northern European mythology? How do the runes and their stories inform your understanding of the life journey or the soul’s path?
I wrote Runenliederen (working on an English translation) inspired by the old Rune poems. I found it a challenge to capture the energy of the Runes of the Old Futhark in a poem. First I wanted to write a book about how to learn them, but there are many good books about this subject, so I wanted to have a different approach. I started my artistic career as a poet, so this approach to capture the energy in a poem came natural.
For me the Old Futhark symbolises the circle of life. It is round. So the last Rune, the Othala offers the foundation for the energy of the Fehu rune to come to life again.
I was drawn to the Runes for a couple of reasons. At first because I wanted to learn and understand them because I was a great Death in June fan. Horrible maybe, but that was the start. Then I learned more and more about the Runes and I became fascinated by them. They represent energy, they represent the phases of life, there are amazing stories how they reached the life of man. What is also very important to me as a sound healer is that they have a sound.
Understanding the Old Futhark gives you the understanding of life. I don’t use Runes for divination, I use them to create mantra’s, for healing, for focus, for support, for whatever I need them for. During our Cacao ceremonies I use the Circle of the Runes for inspiration to the guided mediations.
My teacher Linda Wormhoudt also learned me to write the Runes on my body. I always have Runes written on my chest and during performances me and my partner write the runes also on our arms and sometimes our forehead. It feels like a tribal thing, but a right thing to do. Again it offers focus and strength.
I love working with them, writing them on branches and wands while singing them. It feels it helps making a deep connection with the divine powers.
Writing as Spiritual Craft and Magical Focus
PAA: Writing has always been important in your journey – you’ve mentioned it was your first love, and you’ve written poetry collections, blogs, and articles that were published in various magazines. How does your writing connect to your spiritual work? Do you find that writing (whether poetry or storytelling) offers a different way to heal or inspire, compared to your music and shamanic practices?
Writing is important for me, because it helps to organize my thoughts. It helps getting them clear. Poetry helps me to offer a shape and a sound to my more abstract thoughts and emotions. Abstract thoughts like dreams or things that are not possible to describe in a more common method. Poetry offers freedom in writing. I like that.
It is like magic, you write words and they form a text. A story needs something like a story line, poetry doesn’t. It needs just words, emotion and a rhythm.
Words are magic. When you write something down, even if it is total nonsense, it becomes true. You can see the words, on paper or whatever material you wrote them down. Even spoken words do their magic. I often see patients enter our unit with a complaint, walking straight and full of life. When they get a fatal diagnosis, what happens: they leave broken, head down, empty of life. There is not much difference between the patient before and after the hearing of the diagnosis but the words. The knowledge of going to die breaks him. Words have meaning and words are true. Words work.
My writing of the magical essays and books helps me to organize my way of thinking, working and teaching. It helps me focus on the why, how and when in what I am doing with the magic I do. It supports my shamanistic practices. Something else I learned after I had written my first English book, Journey throught the Wheel of Death, is that people take you more serious when you have written a book. Somehow it shows the dedication people like to see. I like writing, so it is an easy way to put myself out there.
I like writing on social media because of it’s temporary aspect. Somehow I feel that not all writing should be saved for eternity. Sometimes it is for the moment. And not for the moment a year later. I like it when I write something, people read it, and then it vanishes. Text can be right for this moment and not right for the next. As I said, I love the power of words and when you make them disappear, you make them even more powerful in that right moment.
Words in the form of a spell, mantra, poem or song can contain magic. I love the aspect of repetition what can be found in the mantra’s, so I use it quite often. A combination of words, chants and a more intuitive way of singing (without words) is a strong thing to work with. While singing, especially runes, I do this while exhaling, so the energy of my breath is into the words or runes I sing. The challenge is to create the right combination of sounds, words/runes to work with.
Besides this all there is always a story. People come to you because they heard the stories about you. It is the same when you do a ritual, the story around his ritual should be sufficient, it must be the right story to give the client the right treatment/ritual. With words you create the setting. Words and ambience. It is all very important to the ritual work I do. My teacher always joked, “It is all theatre” and it is, but then a very serious theatre.
YslashY: Sound Journeys, Elements, and Sacred Places
PAA: YslashY, your collaboration with yoga teacher Rachel Getrouw, takes participants on “sound journeys through the elements.” I saw that this project was inspired by experiences with sound in places like the tropical rainforest and sacred sites in Scandinavia. Could you tell us about those adventures and how they influenced the sound journeys and rituals you now create together?
Rachel is my life partner and she was born in Suriname, a former colony of the Netherlands, so that is how I got to know and to learn this country. Suriname is bigger, much bigger, than the Netherlands, but there are much less people living there. Most of the country is covered in rainforest.
When you see this huge amount and surface of green from the plane when you are flying over Suriname, you become overwhelmed. It is so much. As far as the eye can see, it is green. And when traveling through this country, you understand, the green will always survive and conquer. Whatever we as humans think, it doesn’t matter. We can lay concrete streets and buildings on top of the earth, the green will always come through. In the end, the world will be green, but if humans will walk around, I don’t know. The green is stronger, much stronger, than the power of men.
There is an instrument that is called the Maraka, an rattle instrument used by the Indigenous people of Surinam during their rituals and ceremonies. Of course I bought some big ones, I love them big, but I also bought a little one.
When Rachel was teaching Yoga in a Hindi temple at the border of Paramaribo (Capital City of Suriname) I had to stay outside, I was not allowed to enter the temple during this class. That was ok by me, so I sat outside the Temple during the sundown. And it was during this sundown that I noticed the green came alive. Slowly the insects living in the green start making their sounds. It started softly with just a couple of insects, but it swelled on and it became a complete concert, with different sounds and rhythms.
Then I recognized these sounds. It were the same sounds as the little Maraka creates when you shake it gently. The Maraka contains the sound of the Jungle, the sound of the rainforest. In my view the rainforest symbolises Mother Earth, our Great Mother. I call her since that moment the Great Green Mother. So we use this Maraka with our journeys.
Our concerts, performances, ceremonies, rituals and mediations are purely acoustic. Sometimes, not often, our instruments are amplified, but we don’t use electronics or tapes to create sounds. We want to be as natural as possible. We want to do our rituals and ceremonies everywhere we can, even in nature and we don’t want to pollute nature with electricity, we want her to be as pure as possible. And that last thing is a challenge.
In nature you can find a deep connection with our Great Mother, if you can tune in on her and when you listen to the sounds of nature and feel them, it becomes easier to tune in. We try to create a natural sound for people to tune in, so we can create that connection with the Great Green Mother or with the divine well or the silence behind the sounds. Because when you are in nature and you listen carefully, you will experience that behind all sounds, there is a silence. A silence that is the source of all existence, the womb of the Great Mother.
Trance, Drum Circles, and the Wheel of Death
PAA: The aim of your sound journeys is to help people relax and find the silence within themselves. What are some of the transformations or breakthrough experiences you’ve witnessed in people who attend your sound meditations or drum circles? Is there a particular story that stands out where you saw someone heal or awaken in a meaningful way through sound?
There are many stories. One of the things we did was starting to work with the Wheel of Death, a model of the different layers the soul travels after death. It starts with the actual dead and follows with traveling over the sea of lead, entering the beach of the afterlife, going throught the heath of purification, entering the mountains of the ancestors and in the end returning to the eternal source.
During a deep trance journey, you can guide a person through these wheels, to meet people who are deceased and to experience how it feels. It always ends in the eternal source before I bring the travellers back to their body. (To make this journey the soul must leave the body). What amazes me every time we do this, it ends with a deep silence. Even when we did this in a small tent at the Castlefest festival, a festival full with medieval bands and ceremonies, we ended up in a deep silence. A deep silence before or in the sounds around us. That is a deep spiritual experience.
Same with the DrumCircles we guide. It places people outside time and place. Most of the time people are surprised when the time is up. The rhythm that has been created by the participants brought them in a state of trance. It is like a state of Zen. Being one with the thing you do.
People forget where they are. People forget who they are. So when they return they are relieved from the stress they experienced before the DrumCircle.
We have even stronger experiences with our GongBaths. Some people told us, we broke them down and then we rebuild them. Or that we cleansed the dust from the cracks. Or we opened drawers in their soul/memory that people forgot that existed.
During the trance journeys we bring people to different worlds and we always love the stories people tell us. Our technics work. And are based on shamanistic practices. We don’t need drugs or plants for this effect. We just use our instruments, and we prefer to use less as possible.
We did a journey through the Wheel of Death recently with a person who is going to die in not a long time and with his direct family. After this journey he was not afraid to go and his wife understood why she will have to let him go. All participants were relieved because it felt good. That is a present. And we were happy, proud and amazed that we can give such a present to people who need it.
One Path, Many Roles: Nurse, Zielenman, Artist, Writer
PAA: You wear many hats – you’re a nurse, a Zielenman, a sound artist, and a writer – truly a versatile path. How do these different roles complement each other? Do they all come together as part of your larger mission to guide and heal others? For example, does your work in healthcare inform your spiritual healing work, and vice versa?
Yes they all come together. There was a time I felt like different persons in one, but that has ended. As a nurse I am a Zielenman, as a Zielenman I am also a nurse. As an artist you are creative, a talent that is also needed to be a Zielenman and nurse. The older I get, the less difference I experience. It is all one, like I have become one. It is all about healing. Understanding. Creating an experience where healing can be.
What Healing Means at the Deepest Level
PAA: You’ve said you use sound and rhythm to help heal the human soul, whether through relaxation or through therapeutic drumming, singing bowls and chanting. With your unique background bridging clinical care and shamanic healing, what does “healing” mean to you at the deepest level? How do you understand healing on a soul level, and what do you feel is most essential for true healing to occur?
Healing for me is making one again. Bring back into balance. Accepting things as they are. That is a hard thing, even for me, for us, it is a hard thing, but it is something that we reach for.
A Final Message for Seekers
PAA: For those who are on their own healing journey or spiritual path, what insight or message would you most like to share? Given everything you’ve learned and experienced, is there a core lesson or encouragement you feel every spiritual seeker could benefit from hearing?
Have faith. Deep trust that everything will be ok, one way or the other. The motto of YslashY is: Trust and See. Be open, have an open eye. Believe what you feel. It is a simple answer, but doing it, living it, can be a real challenge.
What’s Next: Training, Courses, and Updates
PAA: Finally are there bits of information or updates about your work training and courses you would like to share before you go.
I hope to place a course to teach some of my ideas and techniques on the Perseus site as soon as possible. And keep an eye on the YslashY Facebook page, because we are hoping to bring our rituals over the border as far as we can.
PAA: Thank you very much time in answering these questions, looking forward to learning more about your approach.

Welcome to this interview with Ethan Indigo Smith, author, teacher and practitioner. You can read all about him here. He has generously answered some questions for us.
You can see a playlist here of answers to our questions, and below we have transcribed these answers.
PAA: In “The Matrix of Four: The Philosophy of the Duality of Polarity,” you explore individual consciousness. What do you mean by the “duality of polarity,” and how does this concept influence your understanding of spiritual growth?
It’s a great question. And he sent me a series of great questions. What do I mean by the philosophy by the duality of polarity? Everything is based on the duality of polarity in its very formation. In in terms of subject matter. Not every object, not every thing necessarily. But it’s a fantastic way to approach conceptualization, thus philosophy and certainly the philosophy if you will of spiritual growth.
I think the most basic way to understand the duality of polarity may be arithmetic. There is there is addition and subtraction and that is one polarity and there is multiplication and division and that is the secondary polarity. Hence duality of polarity.
I break down actually four basic acts as aspects of reality in terms of this duality of polarity. Beginning with arithmetic to kind of set up a foundational way to see that there’s validity in the idea and it’s not merely subjective. Beginning with arithmetic which is very formulaic to of course mathematics and it’s really a primary example of how when we lay a foundation of a duality of polarity it actually enables an exceptional development for all of mathematics is based on arithmetic. And what we are capable of doing with mathematical comprehension is you know kind of almost unc incomparable to arithmetic which is very simple.
And yet mathematics leads to engineering leads to invention leads to comprehension of navigation and all sorts of subject matter that and it all begins with arithmetic at its basis. And how does this influence my understanding of spiritual growth? Well, if I were to box myself in, I would say that Ethan is a universalist.
I like to find syncric synthesis and ideas that are even if changed by a shade or two over time and place that are shared by different peoples in different times and places. And really four represents this across time and space. I really get into this in the fourth initiation a whole other book about this this concept.
But within the matrix of four whether it is the adage of the wise monkeys there are four of them not three. Three is often presented in this adage, but also three is very often presented with an unsaid fourth part as in the adage of the wise monkeys. Each of these monkeys can signify a way to pursue development and signifies a way that hinders our development.
We can also see this same exoteric and esoteric ideiation of development of the individual from within and in a kind of externalized way as well as an internal consciousness way. Within the allegory of the cave, there are two main types of prisoners. A a very stark polarity. In fact, there are the chained and the unchained prisoners within the allegory of the cave.
And of course, the polarity being chained and unchained. The chained are not yet transfixed by the ideas that are put on the wall. The unchained are completely taken over. They don’t even need chains to make them stay in place. The images on the wall are portrayed by the captors. And the fourth most rare component there of this of of within the of the characters within the cave is the freed prisoner and the freed prisoner is of course the most developed.
So, of course, Native American conceptuality too is, as equally obsessive with four aspects as I and pertaining to the development of of human consciousness. And so thank you. That was that was a great little discussion. I’ll leave some links below if YouTube allows.
PAA: You bring together sacred geometry, meditation, and metaphysics. What is the underlying principle that ties together concepts like points/lines/planes/solids with states of consciousness in your framework?
It’s a wonderful question again and the point represents concentration. The line represents connection. The plane represents circulation and the volume or solid represents what I term as unity expansion.
If we practice meditation and actually if we pursue different meditation instructions from different origins, you will find that these concepts are taking place either overtly as in terminology of concentration for instance or subtly. There is a process to meditation that can be related to concentration, connection, circulation, unity, expansion.
And there are different ways to look at it, different means of it in different types of practices. But you will find this four-fold meditation order of operations in many different systems. In fact, it is sacred geometry without the shapes. It’s esoteric sacred geometry internal. I mean more broadly as I began exploring this idea it becomes a means to measure energy and to understand subtle energy.
I explore this in my recent article about gamatria and what I call gem energia gamatria of energy. So it’s it really is almost an intuitive tool as well as a way to better understand what is unfolding in different meditation practices and in your own meditation practice.
Of course, I share practice Taichi and one of the things about Taichi is that it is very important in the learning process and of course practice that we practice on our own. Same thing with meditation. Practice on your own. Learn meditation comprehension so that you can take that with you. But don’t depend on external features, processes, noise, instruction at all. The idea with meditation is to go within.
So I don’t mean to refute the additives and things that you might bring along with you in meditation, but really all you need is your knowledge to go within. Thank you.
PAA: In your essay on the Divine Masculine you used the four dimensions of geometry to illustrate gendered energies (points/lines vs. planes/solids). How does this symbolic mapping help someone understand the interplay of masculine and feminine principles within themselves?
Another another great question. I’m not exactly sure that I’ve written a article specifically on the divine divine masculine. I definitely recall writing on the divine feminine and a little bit on the divine masculine and on both. In my book, Marijuana and the Prohibition of the Divine Feminine, I explore this gender contrast energies quite a bit as I do within the geometry of energy, how to meditate.
So the idea that masculine energy is related to the dimensions geometry dimensions of the point and the line is not necessarily only limited to males of course but the masculine energy it most often is depicted and is the fall back of males and it is therefore masculine energy but women can do these operations as well just like men might encompass the feminine energies as well.
Men are very direct. They get right to the point. And it’s confounding to women that we will not explain ourselves but just explain the summation. Men are very concentrated. So that’s why the point is related to them as well. But when men are going to do a thing they go right at it in a line.
And you don’t need to get into the anatomical relationships, but of course the circle and the sphere or the volume and solid are very much related to the feminine. The point in the line are very much related to the masculine. Women in in terms of Chinese cosmology, men are much more rigid and less womb or circular like than the than women than the feminine energy.
The de the the feminine energies through geometry dimensions are the circle and the sphere or the plane and the solid. Most elegantly typified by the circle and the sphere. And women are really efficient at when they want to do a thing, they don’t go right at it. They’ll come around and it’ll make everything make sense and then the circle’s complete and that’s how they present things.
They are also the tendency is is to be inclusive and and more energetic inclusion. Another circular trait and women are very much intuitive, right? Men can be too but the fallback for women is intuition. Women, hence the term women’s intuition.
And and this is very much like the idea of unity, consciousness, expansion, this this v the volume of a circular globe type of encompassment of everything all at once. So I hope I hope that makes sense and and this this idea you can see unfold in different you know primary philosophies and constructs. So thanks.
PAA: You write that being emotionally present leads to peaceful stability and that distractions from past and future can destabilize us. What practical advice do you have for someone who finds their mind drifting to worries when they try to meditate?
Well, Buddha puts forth a wonderful analogy that’s quite useful. Thoughts are passing by on the stream and it is wonderful to take note of these and let them pass. Another thing Buddha said is the mind is the destroyer of the real.
So a lot of our mental stresses, our projections, our pursuits are not necessarily viable. And it’s important in meditation or in a quiet mindful setting even if there’s not a meditation necessarily but you’re just contemplating it is important to let go of assumptions and ideas that are not our own.
I would also advise people to align themselves with a powerful idea. And a powerful idea does not pursue things. A powerful idea is things. Just like a God or God does not pursue things, God is or the Dao is. It is not in pursuit.
So let let go of pursuits and stresses within your meditation practice. Allow them to come up because the very goal of meditation is to smooth over the mind. So these things that might come up offer opportunity for us to shine our mind from this little grease spot or bump or defection on our shiny perfect sphere. Right?
So these you know these concepts that come up that might be not in line with meditation are part of the meditation process. For me a wonderful little thing that helps me focus is the idea of 108. 108 is again in Buddhism a sacred number. It is also quite a mathematical distinct number.
And there’s there’s a lot of interesting concepts that can be revealed through the tool of 108. And it in itself has oneness, nothingness, and the infinite, which this is a powerful trinity. But in terms of meditation concept that can be helpful to stabilize us.
I like to have my own little thought process from 108. Be one with the breath. Let zero thoughts coalesce and tap into the infinite. Be one with the breath. Let zero thoughts coalesce. Tap into the infinite.
That’s a wonderful thought and it really is an effective smoother tool of our perfect sphere that we’re con might conceptualize in developing our meditation process. For in Taichi, right, there’s all these spherical movements where we’re working with an energy ball. Well, in meditation, too. I can’t exactly do this in front of the screen right now properly. But we’re we’re creating a a perfect little little ball here, right? In in terms of imagination there, just threw it at you. So peace.
PAA: You once said, “if you’re not training [in mindfulness], you’re being trained” for mindlessness. What daily habits or “training” would you recommend to help people stay mindful and avoid that passive mindset?
I don’t think it’s even passive. It’s actually negative, right? Passive is not necessarily actively destructive. People can be very actively destructive. And so I think we can really make a positive change in our life by undertaking different practices depending on where we find there are lacking fruitbearing wisdom.
In other words, we can break down our system of being into four parts. I know, forgive me. I love the four. Physical, mental, spiritual, and universal. Let’s let’s see where we can develop these traits physically. Let’s exercise, right? Let’s see where we can develop a better mental quality, reading and learning. And let’s see how we can develop a a different spiritual practice, breath work, taichi, meditation, and let’s find a way to express this in the universe, in the world to not only help ourselves, but help others.
There’s many different ways to look at how we operate and how we do things. But when we we have to understand that we are either training or being trained. We’re either working on ourselves or we’re falling into patterns that are not necessarily even passive but detrimental.
And we might form a pattern that turns into a trench that we can’t even get out of. So if we’re not training, we’re being trained. If we’re not moving forward and up, we’re likely moving backwards and down.
So we can find a certain m a certain mannerism of steadfastness and steadiness within completing practices of our own or practices that you learn from others. It doesn’t matter. But doing our own thing really is provocative to training ourselves rather than being trained by negative influences from outside of ourselves and our own self. Right?
We’re not necessarily only passive. Sometimes we can be negative. So the more we are steadfast and steady, the more we can be steadfast and not be blown in the wind by other outside influences that might like to steer our mentality and our physicality and so forth into negative terms too. Right?
So if you’re not training, you’re being trained is really an inspirational terminology for holding down our own self despite all the external influences. Peace. Thanks.
PAA: Thank you for your time and generous sharing.

Thanks to a wonderful 3rd party who organised and conducted the interview we have this new interview with Alex Leonhart a teacher from the Mystery College, who has published a course on Concordian Energy Work and is currently working on a course on Amulet Magic, he is both a scholar as can be seen from his many writings and a practitioner of many, many years in some hard to find traditions. I know from private discussions with Alex that this interview only scratches the surface, though we are deeply grateful for it as he is also well versed in other systems of what could be called Chinese Systems of Magic or Folk Magic from South East China due to the area he lives in, in the Philippines, there are many settlers from other areas of the world who brought their own magical system with them – perhaps a future post.
If you enjoy this post please let us know in the comments and consider taking a look at the Concordian Energy Work course from Alex, which as I say is just scratching the surface of his knowledge.
Interview
PAA: So to begin, could introduce yourself and share your background in magic, spirituality and yoga(briefly, after all it’s pretty extensive).
Hi. I’m Alex Leonhardt, and I am by personal practice a Shaiva Hindu adhering to the Vamachara school. By circumstance and environment, I work with spirits, herbal medicine, and an assortment of other things. I suppose some people in the West would call it a ‘healer’, but that’s a very weighty title – and one that I feel I am unworthy of boasting about. In the local language, I am either a ‘tambalan’ (medicine person, although this carries its own unique connotations within the Native American systems of belief), a ‘espiritisa’ (spirit worker), or (if my haters are to be believed), a ‘mambabarang’ (witch doctor / hex caster). I personally prefer to be called a ‘salamancera’ (sorcerer), because that’s what my teacher was, and that is what I do, and therefore that is what I am.
Beyond my traditional leanings, I have been a member (at various points of my life) of both the International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKON), as well as the Ananda Marga, although I am not ‘Hindu’, by birth. I was born, raised, and baptised into the fold of the Catholic Church, as are most people in my neck of the woods. I only began to expand my horizons during my early adolescence, and, having graduated (as a government-funded scholar) in an Islamic university, I have also practised Sunni Islam (the most predominant type of Islam practiced in the Philippines), and have been introduced into Ismail’i Islam and Sufi’-ism by my late college professor.
PAA: You also have experience working as a… well I guess there’s no other word for it… as a spirit detective. Have you ever watched the anime Yu Yu hakusho?
Lol. You could say that. I suppose there’s no other word for it. But I am not under Ko-Enma’s employ, nor do I receive orders from the Netherworld. I grew up in the early 90s, so yeah, I have watched Yu Yu Hakusho. Lol.
PAA: You even had your own Master Genkai didn’t you.
Yes, I did, bless her Soul. A good chunk of the sh-t I know, I know because of her.
PAA: So would it be fair to say that this first course on Energy work is foundational to all of this defensive magic.
Yes, in essence. But that’s not all that energy work is for. It’s the cornerstone of every practice that one undertakes. A lot of people view energy working as either a ‘defensive magic’ matter or a ‘health and wellness’ matter – but what it really is is a sum total of all magic matter.
PAA: I also understand that it gets people feeling energy right away, which is one of the big hurdles in most systems.
Yes, and the reason for that is simple: the energy work that I present is simply a consolidation of two of the more ‘renowned’ energy-working practices in the world: the Indian chakra system and the Chinese chi system, stripped down to only the essentials, supplemented with pranayama (breath work) and mudra and bandha (bodily locks). Combined, they elicit an instantaneous effect because the biological impetus of the human body itself generates the effect. There is no way that it will ‘not work’, because for it to ‘not work’, you would have to
Not be a mammal, in this case a human. And
Not be alive.
But so long as one is mammalian, and one breathes and is alive and conscious, the method will work. And that is why I am confident and can tack on a ‘money-back’ guarantee on its efficacy.
PAA: So would you say this system trains Vital, Astral, or Mental energy.
First we have to address the distinctions that some ‘Western’ systems ascribe to energy. This notion of having three separate demarcations between ‘vital’, ‘astral’, and ‘mental’ energy is, in my insignificant opinion, a load of pish-posh. Energy is vital energy. This is what the Hindus call prana, and what the Chinese (and most of Asia) call chi. This ‘vital energy’ constitutes what some philosophers would call a ‘soul’ or an ‘anima’, or ‘consciousness’. This ‘consciousness’ is what the shamans of Tungus and Tibetan societies say would ‘travel’ to the Spirit World (i.e. ‘astral energy’). All of these concepts are comprehended by, made manifest through, and consolidated by will (sankalpa shakti)as demonstrated by knowledge and perception (jnana), and is essentially ‘mental energy’. There is no demarcation. It is one single, cohesive, continuous, concordant thing.
PAA: So in this view it would be better to say that all these different ‘types’ of energy are in truth one thing, and that it’s wiser to focus on strengthening your ‘overall’ energy than worry about your strength in one type.
That is correct. They are in actuality, just one single thing. The demarcations exist due to the ‘technical’ and ‘clinical’ nature of Western practice, and it gets in the way of doing the actual work which guarantees actual results.
PAA: Would it then also be fair to say that this course addresses higher level skills as well? When you first described this course I thought it only covered steps 1 and 2 in the Bardon system, but it sounds like it goes far beyond that.
Yes, it does. The energy work course by itself acts as a foundation for all magical practice – whether that is regular energy cultivation, summoning, manifestation, healing, or what-have-you. Bardon’s system (from my humble and somewhat limited understanding) follows the Hindu basis of tapasaya (cultivation), and so it makes sense why his methods and my method (I say ‘my’, but it isn’t really ‘mine’, because a holistic practice that is for everyone cannot by ‘owned’ by anyone) have some degree of overlap. But the taking from the foundation (which is energy work), if you have an extensive well of energy, and are aware of how to make energy flow, how to collect it, how to project it, and how to store it properly, you have, essentially, an unlimited wellspring of magic with which to work with all magics.
PAA: Wow that’s pretty extensive, but you plan to go even further with your upcoming Amulet course, isn’t that right?
Yes, absolutely. Amulets are the earliest, if not the most concrete manifestation of magic across all societal stratas, across all of human history (recorded or otherwise). They are the perfect catalyst for energy work because they are made, can store, and are able to project energy as an extension of the human body. BUT I’ll leave the rest of the details for the upcoming course (which is coming soon to a theatre near you!)
PAA: You also have some availability for personal consultations as well.
Yes, I do. Please reach me via my Telegram (# +639276020434), or via my personal email alex.leonhart01@gmail.com
You can also try to summon me from the depths of Hell Realm, but I’ll be too busy trying to rule it, so your queries might go unanswered if you decide to take that route. Lol.
PAA: That is very exciting, before we go is there any last piece of practice advice you have for the aspiring magician.
Stop thinking about the technicalities. Like Nike always says: ‘Just do it.’ You can think about the ‘whyfores’ later. Technicalities and whyfores make comprehending magic easy, but it makes for doing magic a pain in the arse.

Recently we created a community platform for our students, with private groups for students of each of our courses.
In addition, we have multiple public groups, one of which is the group for students of Franz Bardon’s Initiation into Hermetics. We created this as though our group on Facebook ‘Students of Franz Bardon’ is a busy group, it is dependent on Facebook, which is a dependency we want to get away from. Now with an independent community, though I am sure it will be a slow process we now have a platform that all our private groups have moved to and that all of our future events will be held on.
I would like to invite you, to join the platform and introduce yourself. It is completely free and open.
In this post Bob from Sixty Skills breaks down the Kabbalah (Letter Magic) course—explaining the reasons behind its creation, the specific problems it addresses, and how it differs from Franz Bardon’s original approach.
Welcome and Overview
Welcome back all you letter magicians, Kabbalers and magical mal contents. It is I, Sixty Skills, and today I’m here to answer your questions about Cabala training.
Difference Between Sixty Skills and Bardon’s KTQ
So, number one: what is the difference between my system and Bardons’s KTQ? Why not just do KTQ? How does the Sixty Skills syllabus order those stages and how do they differ?
Okay, the first problem with Bardon’s third book is it’s really incomplete. The book was published post‑mortem after he died, by his secretary, and it leaves a lot of things out. I’ve talked to a number of people who’ve trained from the book only, and universally they make a lot of mistakes. They make mistakes involving equilibrium. They make mistakes involving counterbalancing and, frequently, they come up with some pretty severe problems as a result of that. Also, like I’ve said earlier, the book is incomplete. It leaves a lot of things out, and we’ll get to some of that a little bit later on.
But the way my course deals with this, from the position of letter magic, is it gives you a structured way of approaching the training through the medium of clair‑sentience, and it explains all of the missing parts of the book.
Preparatory Standards
Number two: preparatory standards. Bardon insists on full elemental equilibrium before touching the letters in Step Eight of IIH. What concrete skills from the Sixty Skills Master Course or elsewhere must a student know before you let them start the Cabala course?
We have to remember Bon also wrote a book. He had a method of training, if you will, where he knew he was not going to meet most of his students—if ever—or have any contact with them. So when you put a course together this way, you have to structure it in such a way that it minimizes the potential for harm and maximizes the opportunity for success by the student.
Also keep in mind that when these materials were written, printing was really expensive, and video instruction basically wasn’t a thing. Even getting the word out on what exactly he was teaching would have been extraordinarily difficult. So all of those are factors.
The main skill that you have to have is clair‑sentience—i.e. building the ball, the ability to touch and feel energy—but that’s included directly in the Cabala course itself. So the reality is, as long as you’re willing to follow instructions and don’t skip ahead too much, you can train this kind of letter magic from day one.
Keeping in mind I am not the only person with this approach. If you look at the Chiang aspects of Xing Yi Quan or Five Element Fist, they’re training elemental magic from day one. They just don’t do it very well. Food for thought.
Color, Tone, and Number
Item number three: color, tone, and number. Bardon fixes a unique color, pitch and number to every letter. Do you keep Bardon’s exact correspondences, or have you amended any of them based on modern testing? If amended, what drove the change?
Generally Bardon’s stuff is correct in terms of that. One of the main differences that doesn’t get explained in the book very well is: if you’re teaching it from an elemental perspective—as I am, and as Bon probably did—the sounds that you hear internally are sounds from nature, and human vocal cords may or may not be able to repeat that very accurately.
Additionally, the colors change slightly as you go from one level of reality to the next. Jewish Cabala training is actually fairly explicit on this. If you read books like Paths of Wisdom by John Michael Greer, he gets into this as well. So, for all practical purposes, they’re close enough.
Have I amended anything based on modern testing? Sure, a little bit. Certain letters have a dual nature, and that’s not explained in the book. Again, I suspect the book was put together from a series of notes left behind after Bardon’s death—because it was, in fact, published post‑mortem—and whoever did the editing clearly was not a practitioner of the method or didn’t have a lot of experience with it.
Error Corrections
Number four: error corrections. You’ve said KTQ contains a handful of post‑mortem editing errors. Can you name one specific letter exercise you’ve corrected in your course and explain the correction?
Sure. The letter L doesn’t hinge on the spleen. The letter K refers to the outside of the ear. Certain letters have a dual nature—like the letter H, which is both a fire and air letter. There are a bunch of these.
Also, there are things left out that are very strange considering how important they are. The letter R is a back door to the solar sphere, so before you work with that, you probably want to be pretty good at your equilibrium and counterbalancing and ability to flush things out of your system. Also, that chart in the back of the book that gives you the four‑letter combinations is just kind of randomly dropped in there. The importance behind it isn’t explained. In the beginning of the book, when he explains the meaning of the third tarot card, he’s spelling out the whole meta‑system he constructed; nowhere else in any of the three books explains any of this.
So again, we need to be grateful for what we got from Bon, but keep in mind these books are not great for practice if you don’t have prior training or somebody to talk to—and that’s not going to be a popular sentiment.
Ventilation and Counterbalancing
Your curriculum lists how to ventilate and how to counterbalance. What do these two practices add to Bardon’s original instructions about balancing vital force and elemental charge?
Bon talks about clearing energy out of the body and he gives you a few steps for doing that, but he doesn’t really get into the need to counterbalance. When you’re working with one letter extensively it will create imbalances in you, and the way to get rid of that isn’t just through ventilating the energy but to actually counterbalance with an opposing energy. These are things that people who learn the material on their own don’t tend to understand very well—particularly the role of equilibrium and just how crucially important that is to everything—and they end up having a lot of problems. It’s not hard to fix, but whoever put the book together clearly wasn’t a practitioner, because they didn’t understand this.
Energy Ball Foundation
Students in Sixty Skills first build the ball of vital energy. How does that exercise prepare or accelerate later letter work compared with Bardon’s standard curriculum?
First of all, it gives you a way of determining how strong things are. After a practice you can say, “Oh, it got stronger,” or “it got weaker.” As your clair‑sentience improves, you gain a variety of other information regarding the energy you’re working with. Most people have very poor clairvoyance and clairaudience. My working theory now is that Bardon and his group relied far more upon alchemy for development of those skills than anything else—and I have evidence to support that which I can’t share openly.
Clair‑sentience—of the clair‑senses—is probably the easiest and most applicable skill to develop. Hence, building the ball.
Letter Magic and History
You’ve mentioned that letter magic might be the oldest of magics, and hinted at where Bardon got the material. Is there anything else you can reveal that might motivate students and provide understanding for people assuming you’ve just repackaged Bon’s work?
People who make those snippy comments really amuse me because none of them have done the amount of work that I have. They didn’t travel to North Africa, they didn’t go all the way down the River Nile, they haven’t been through sub‑Saharan Africa, they haven’t been through the islands, they haven’t gone all the way through Turkey. They’ve risked nothing and, in general, are a bunch of whiners.
Letter magic is old, and when you really get into it you can see echoes of it across multiple cultures—whether it’s Five Element Fist from Chinese martial arts, the four‑element work including mantras for the electric and magnetic lines of force in Tibetan Buddhism, and so on. It’s simply a way of describing how the universe works.
It’s not a big stretch to see how something—probably not quite human—could be lying on its back, staring up at the sky, feel its mind suddenly expand, and hear that eagle’s cry sound in its ear: there’s the letter A, the air element, right there. By applying that method you could figure out all the different letters; as that not‑quite‑human learns to repeat these effects, it might even have been the source of human speech.
You’re only going to understand this by making the effort to study. This material is so poorly organized it took me 30 years to do what I could have done in two or three—and I know that from working with my students. You can talk about repackaging someone else’s material, but I’m here to tell you: this stuff is old, it’s been around a really long time, and Bon got his material from other people too. Nothing in his three books I haven’t seen elsewhere, with the possible exception of some personal sigils from the near‑Earth zone. Everything else is derivative. We owe him a great debt because he was one of the first to put it together. I view what I do as a further refinement.
Multi‑Layer Letter Work
Your blog speaks of letter work at the vital, astral, mental and a‑osic layers, not just the mental and astral layers in KTQ. What does practicing the same letter on each layer achieve, and how do you instruct students to tell layers apart?
There’s extensive training in the coursework involving the Three Transformations, which teaches you vital, astral and mental—how to feel those different layers of reality. The book itself actually gets into the a‑osic as well, by its definition. There’s extensive training that teaches people how to tell the difference between these levels and determine effects. One of my favorites, the letter L, on a mental level deals with morality; on an astral level, magical equilibrium; on a vital level, human health and longevity. If you can’t tell which level you’re working with, focusing your effects is difficult.
Most systems of letter magic don’t really break things down with much granularity, so it’s easy to get confused.
Outer Planet Extensions
You’ve taught Uranus‑, Neptune‑ and Pluto‑centric letter meditations. Are these outer‑planet variations part of core Cabala training or an advanced elective? And how do they expand on Bardon’s strictly solar‑system model?
In the beginning of his third book—page 13 or 18 of the Merkur version—Bardon talks about the symbolism of the third tarot card and explains that glyph on the cover. This is not a solar‑centric system. It works at the vital, astral, mental and a‑osic levels—specifically the physical, planetary, zodiacal and sephirotic levels of existence. He’s very clear.
Cabala can be generated at planetary levels too, and it slightly changes its nature. By learning to work at all these levels you learn to fine‑tune letter work and can create interesting effects. Working with Pluto, for example, can give you the ability to generate letters at a cellular level—if the tendency to engage in suicidal ideation doesn’t get you first.
Upward versus Downward Path
KTQ hints at an upward path. Your blog documents completing that path and reversing into a downward path. How does letter magic function differently on the return leg? What did you learn that KTQ doesn’t spell out?
He explains this in his part about the third tarot card. Getting into too much detail is why we have coursework forthcoming, because it’s that complicated. One of the first big changes is generating accasha from equilibrium. When most people work with accasha initially, it has a dissolving effect; it also has a bringing‑into‑form effect if you flip it the other way. Descriptions of magical tension give a hint. It’s a very long discussion.
Letter Formulas and Timing
Bardon warns against using two‑, three‑ and four‑letter keys until complete mastery. Sixty Skills students combine letters for practical effects—what safeguards are in place?
The “complete mastery” thing is nonsense. It’s included to slow you down and prevent progressing. Step 1 of IIH—watching thoughts—I have to redo every six to eight weeks; it’s like a cup, it fills up again. There’s no such thing as complete mastery. We start working with two‑letter combinations toward the end of learning single letters because you have to be able to generate the forces equally. We describe limitations of two‑, three‑ and four‑letter practices, how they can be draining, how you can really only work with one or two at a time, and so on. The reason you don’t see much description in Bardon’s book is the book is not complete. People who learned on their own usually make serious mistakes.
Progress Benchmarks
Bardon leaves verification to the practitioner’s honesty. What objective or shared milestones do you see—sensory markers, phenomena—to confirm a student has truly mastered a letter?
The colors and sound start manifesting on their own. Usually the first big one is accasha: they’ll start to see a purple color creep into meditations once they work with equilibrium often enough. Mastery of a letter? Not really a thing. The first goal is the ability to reproduce the letter on command with strength. As a practical matter, about 100 hours of practice—sometimes less—per letter, but the first 10–20 hours are most critical.
Group Learning and Transmissions
Your program offers Discord study halls and energy transmissions. Does real‑time peer or instructor feedback change the learning curve relative to solitary book study?
Absolutely. Eighty‑ninety percent of the work you have to do on your own, but having other people to bounce things off and transmission strength makes a huge difference. You can learn this material relatively quickly from another human in person, but it takes forever alone. Video coursework corresponds to a mental‑level transmission; weekend classes correspond to an astral‑level transmission; in‑person gives vital/etheric transmission. These radically speed learning and remove confusion.
Mental and A‑osic Strain
You’ve noted severe fatigue and even suicidal ideation when your group hits certain high‑level a‑osic phases. What pacing, recovery or counseling protocols have you built into the course so students avoid those pitfalls?
In the planetary course, suicidal ideation is a risk from Saturn outward. We have specific meditations, such as meditations on Imnet, to clear that. For a‑osic drain we keep sessions short—usually no more than 30 minutes when working with accasha unless deep‑diving. The coursework covers mitigation: exercise, sleep, diet. Whether someone follows that advice is beyond my control, but the information is there.
Time Investment Reality Check
Bardon’s KTQ can take years. You suggest 18 months to two years for magical independence. Master Course plus letter work for a diligent student—what’s a realistic weekly workload and total timeline to reach competent letter practice under Sixty Skills?
As a rule, two hours of practice a day. You do a build‑out for a week to ten days at a time, practice two hours in the morning, run the energy in the background the rest of the day using Rites of the Eucharist in between. Every week or so you’ll have mastered a letter, and within six months you’ll have all 27. You’ll be a little unstable along the way, but manageable. I’ve had a student every bit as strong as me; it took him four years what took me 30, because instruction I received wasn’t well‑organized.
Practical versus Mystical Goals
Bardon frames the cabalist as a conscious co‑creator aligned with divine law. Do you hold the same endpoint, or do you emphasize practical manifestation as equally valid?
I recommend the path of enlightenment first because then you’re connected to your higher nature and, in theory, you’ll think twice about doing something dumb. This stuff works fine without those experiences, but you risk spending time on goals at odds with your internal development—doing stupid shit. Non‑dual light immersion tempers that.
Living Crystal and Tools
You’re associated with Living Crystal, said to be powered by cabalistic energy. Is using external constructs part of the syllabus or strictly optional?
Strictly optional. You don’t need Living Crystal at all, though many get a lot out of it. It’s an interesting technology we’re developing and I think we’ll see interesting developments, but you absolutely don’t need it—it’s like having beads, a wand, or other paraphernalia: nice, but not required.
Consistency of Letter Effects
Badton claims a correctly vibrated letter yields the same effect every time. Across your cohort have you observed any consistent variations? What explains them?
They’re generally the same. Keep in mind the body is the medium of expression, so depending on physiology, lifestyle, habits, things manifest a little differently, but they point the same direction. Bardon’s book is fairly accurate. Some letters like U/Y need more elaboration.
Post‑Course Integration
Once students finish all 27 letters, what ongoing practice keeps the work alive? Do you recommend periodic reviews, planetary Cabala, or stepping into the sephirotic path next, and how does that mirror or diverge from Bardon’s roadmap?
Organizationally, according to his description of the third tarot card, next you would do planetary work. You don’t have to. Understand that if you’ve gotten through IIH and basic Cabala, as far as magic is concerned the world is your oyster: you can decode another system, apply it to medicine, martial arts, engineering—you name it. I like the mandala work from Bon’s third book, so that’s what I pursued, but you don’t have to. It depends on your path in life.
Conclusion
Thanks for the questions, guys. Keep them coming and we’ll get updates out there just as soon as we can. As per usual: train hard and be well.

Curriculum Overview
First we want to talk about what this course is. This is a 32-week course on the tarot and many other things. We call it Meta Magick Tarot because of the philosophy that drives it, which is an idea of magic as suitable in a society that has gone through the Scientific Revolution. Traditional magic pre-existed the Scientific Revolution to the point where some would say that the discoveries made after this social movement cancel magic and are in conflict with a magical worldview. I don’t believe this is true. I believe a magical worldview has a place within a scientific framework, specifically within a heliocentric model of the cosmos. Earlier magical systems, of course, relied on traditional astrology which understood the Earth to be at the center of things.
Meta magick is the driving philosophical perspective and we’ll see more about what it is as we go along.
The Magical Calendar System
I should say a little bit about the system that this course is based on, which is a magical calendar called The Forest of Life. I’ve been designing magical calendars since 2003. I designed and developed my first magical calendar on December 19, 2003, and it followed the orbit of Mercury. It’s quite an involved story about how I came to do this. I was inspired, and after creating this system, I went on to create calendars for every planet in the solar system based on heliocentric information. I had a heliocentric ephemeris—a heliocentric astrological book—and I used it to make calendars for all the planets in the solar system. I was inspired to do this so one could say that I invented them, or that I discovered them, or that I was drawn to this original approach. However it happened, I created these works and used them to time meditations. What I found is that by yoking the momentum of a planet around the Sun to a program of meditation, it creates an incredible, powerful inertia that brings about synchronicities and other kinds of experience.
I’ve been doing this for over 20 years now, and the Forest of Life calendar I have been seriously following for about six years, even though it is roughly 18 or 20 years since I first invented it. I have been really studying it and following it for about six years and taking people on this journey with me, discussing and studying the tarot intensively over 32 weeks. This really does line up with the orbit of Venus as it crosses its New Year, which will be called its North Node, and then comes full circle. We’ll talk about that later in the course.
Ritual and Meditation
I call this course a buffet because, like a buffet, you are not going to eat everything; there is going to be more in this course than you can then use. This means that you will have an opportunity to decide what’s interesting to you. Not only that, but because these materials are yours, you will always have them, and because the course is always open to being taken again, either with me or simply by following the calendar while reading the materials or viewing the videos, you will always be able to return to this as a resource if you want.
It is also a ritual—a magic circle. The planet is completely orbiting the Sun and we are casting a vast circle that involves an intensive invocation of every power in the tarot over the course of this great circle. With this in mind, the meditations are the key, the key rhythm, the key activity, the key magical action that lights the lamps so to speak. If we imagine a ritual of lighting 32 lamps, ringing 32 bells, or activating 32 pylons or crystals—however you want to frame it—there are 32 keys, and if, in the course of our ritual through meditation, we activate all 32 of them, those experiences will come together and create an energy or a resonance that is greater than the parts.
This is the objective: to do the meditation at least every week for the next 32 weeks. This sounds easy but can be quite challenging because life does have a funny habit of getting in the way. We will be providing a recording of the meditation before every class on Sunday nights, and then we’ll listen to it as an audio file at the end of the class. You can use it as many times as you like and I recommend it as a way of enacting the ritual aspect of this course. It is also, and can be, a Tarot incubator. Sometimes this is something that people will do on a second or a third round through the course, but it means that you can use this rhythm to make a Tarot. As you’ll find, every week has a particular theme, and in the first 10 weeks there will be either four or eight cards that are discussed every week. So in the first 10 weeks, if you were making a Tarot—if you’re using this as a Tarot incubator—you might be making sometimes eight cards a week. That’s quite a lot, but sometimes they only need to be little sketches, drafts, or plans, and those have a habit of growing into fully fledged cards. In the following 22 weeks there will be only one card a week. We’re going to do the minor Arcana and the court cards first, and then we’re going to do the major Arcana.
A Path of Transformation
Needless to say, this is an original magical system of my own development. It’s been in the works for over 20 years and it runs from beginner to advanced, so there is material in this course that is highly advanced, particularly towards the end of the course. Bearing that in mind, if you really want to go down a rabbit hole of Atria and highly technical philosophy, you can, but you can also stay in a more comfortable zone or, you know, in a more intermediate or beginner mode of engagement if you like.
It is a replayable program of transformation, using the orbit of Venus as a means to meditate on or invoke the powers of the tarot. Invoking means to call the powers in, to dramatize or involve oneself in those powers and ideas. By doing that, we engage in a transformative process, and the more engaged we are, the more that transformative process will bear fruit. Finally, it’s a pathworking. Pathworking is just another way of saying exactly what I just said—it is a transformational path, a transformational journey. Typically, pathworking referred to the meditation on the major Arcana as they were assigned to the paths of the Tree of Life. The Tree of Life is populated by spheres connected by paths, and the paths all have the major Arcana or the Hebrew letters assigned to them. A pathworking was a formal ritual visionary journey into one of the major Arcana for the purpose of affecting the balance of this cabalistic tree, which is quite a bit like the chakra system. It’s a set of spheres that reflect powers and potencies, some present and some latent within the human being. The idea is that by opening the paths and by journeying along the paths, we access these powers and potencies, ripen them, harmonize them, clear out any rubble or trauma which may be affecting them, and bring them into our conscious mind so that we may connect with them in a wholesome way. This is what pathworking is about, what the cabala is about, what the cabalistic tarot is about, and what the Meta Magick Tarot course is doing.
About the Guide
I’m your guide. My name is Dr. Peter Duchemen. I have a PhD in philosophy, religious studies, linguistics, sociology—really, I am a person who’s interested in everything. The Renaissance believed in universal knowledge, and I think we mistakenly characterize that as knowing everything, and so we dismiss the Renaissance men as attempting to know everything in an age in which knowledge was considered finite. Really, what I think the Renaissance people were about was being able to have meaningful encounters with anything. It’s not so much about knowing everything in volume but about tuning the spirit so that one can have a meaningful relationship and a universal way of knowing—not knowing everything but knowing things through a universal viewpoint. This is what astrology allows us to do and also sacred geometry. I’m an artist, a sculptor, an esotericist, an inventor, and a magical calendar designer, and I have been studying the cabalistic tarot since 1995 when I was 19 years old.
Course Materials and Additional Projects
The materials of the course include a weekly PDF, which ranges from fairly short to quite dense—quite large. The shortest one is probably five pages long and the longest one is 30 pages long. These are resources that you can study after the course is done; during the course, they contain my reflections on what is relevant to the paths at hand. Additionally, there is a weekly video lesson. I’m filming now in front of a live studio audience, but without a laugh track (except maybe my own laughter, but I don’t know what that says about me). I like to crack jokes and have some levity in the study of these matters. The video lesson will involve a slideshow and will mostly look at some of the material from the PDF. The PDF is denser and deeper, but hopefully the video lesson will unlock it. Finally, there will be a weekly meditation recorded as an audio file.
Lastly, there are optional projects and materials throughout the course. In previous incarnations of the course I had many optional avenues of magical practice, and I’ve reduced these to some simple ones if people are taking the course for a second or third time. If you want to be in touch with me, we can talk about some more advanced projects to bring through this ritual system. This system doesn’t end after the course. Hopefully, you’ll be able to use it to do all sorts of awesome things, make your own tarot, time magical actions to very specific days, produce all sorts of creative materials, and so forth.

In all locations there will be a Level 1 course, this means that it ‘loosely’ covers part 1 of the SixtySkills curriculum with some additional training such as the beginning of Letter Magic as well as the Emei Sudden Enlightenment system among others. It provides a solid experiential base for a practitioner to not just think they have ‘it’ but to know as they have experienced training these things with others and seen the real-life effects – feedback. This is vital for confidence and for the subconscious to know it was real.
Here is an outline of what a level 1 camp will include – but do be ready for some extra things to be added on a case-by-case basis. Bob will give you as much as you can handle, he wants you to get it, and he wants you to get it far quicker than he did! As can be seen by some of his senior students who are already doing many things as well as Bob, a testimony to the system.
Level 2 events will be held if there is interest and if the level of development is there to make it worthwhile on an event by event basis. If you have interest in the next Level 1 event then get in touch it is taking place in Spain in June.

Testimonies from the First Magic Camp
Participant from the first Magic Camp in Sayulita:
The opportunity to learn the Sixty Skills system in person with the founder at the Sayulita seminar was a real treat. Each day included intensive practice with body training techniques including rebounding and walking with weights, astral practices like pranayama, and powerful group meditations on the four elements, akasha and nondual light. A few personal favorite experiences – working with magical tension in the air at sunset hour and observing its connection with elemental equilibrium, experiencing local weather modification during one of the group sits, and meditating with two powerful spirits from Bardon’s Practice of Magical Evocation. The informal time with Bob and fellow practitioners asking questions, eating meals in town and comparing notes was a blast. Can’t recommend highly enough!
Participant from the first Magic Camp in Sayulita:
Hello all what a great experience this was. I walked away with a better understanding of my internal visual set up. Made contact with a spirit and also learned how to better protect myself energetically. I feel solid that this is my path moving forward and it’s REAL.. the group work we did charged me so much in fact my clairskills have been the best they ever been. Not bad for 6 days. And Bob, hilarious and down to earth. Love the guy.
Participant from the first Magic Camp in Sayulita:
I arrived at the venue midday on Sunday. I was immediately welcomed by SixtySkills and the other attendees. The location was perched on the top of the hill, with amazing views down into and across the valley. We stayed in a beautiful oasis in the middle of the jungle.
Monday started bright and early. SixtySkills had an opening ceremony where he formally welcomed the participants and then explained the schedule for the week. SixtySkills didn’t waste any time! We started with a few group meditations to get us mentally prepared. Then we did some standing postures to get the energy flowing. After lunch, we got right into the physical training. We did some basic rebounding exercises. Then we did a letter sit, followed by rebounding with that letter. Afterwards, we finished the day with another group meditation to clear out all the energies.
Tuesday morning started with a lecture on Ermei Mountain Diamond Palm Pranayama, followed by some practice. Then, we did another letter sit, followed by some rebounding with the elements. After lunch we had another sit where we worked on equilibrium. We ended the day with some breath retention exercises, underwater, in the pool.
Wednesday morning we went to the beach at sunrise. We did some pranayama and then practiced walking with the Electric and Magnetic lines. After a short break, we reconvened back at the venue. SixtySkills gave us a lecture on longevity and how our practice can enhance it. Next, SixtySkills guided us through the Three Releases, followed by an evocation of one of the geniuses in Bardon’s second book. We ended the day with some rebounding using the elements.
Thursday morning we were back on the beach at sunrise. We did our pranayama and weighted walking with the elements. We did a guided sit on the beach, followed by breath retention exercises in the Pacific Ocean. Afterwards, we went back to the venue to clean up and prepare for the next evocation. We did the evocation and it was powerful! We then had a lecture on the Holy Eucharist, followed by a demonstration with The Living Crystal. We charged some food and drink. After eating and drinking the charged food we did some yoga nidra. After that was rebounding with Akasha and Non Dual Light. We ended the day with a lecture on the Zero Point method, followed by a guided meditation using the method.
Friday morning started before dawn on the beach. We did our pranayama, a short equilibrium sit and weighted walking with Akasha and Non Dual Light. We went back to the venue for some Q&A. After lunch, SixtySkills gave us a lecture and demonstrated some moxibustion techniques. Then, he did a Tibetan Trulkhor demonstration. We did one last Akasha and Non Dual Light sit. SixtySkills finished the week with a powerful closing ceremony!
I am amazed at how much SixtySkills was able to incorporate into just one week. It was a lot of work, but not overly exhausting. I got to meet some amazing practitioners and made some new friends. I would highly recommend attending the next SixtySkills seminar. You will not be disappointed.
I recently saw Rays Del Soles new book The masters of Spirit & Matter and was curious to know more. So in this post Ray answers my many questions. I hope you find this interesting and if you would like to get the book please click here.
The Masters of Spirit & Matter
Explore the timeless wisdom of the Templar Knights and uncover how their principles can transform your life today. This book reveals the synthesis of spirituality, discipline, and mastery that defined the Templars, offering practical insights for personal development and spiritual enlightenment.
PAA: What inspired you to delve into the teachings of the Knights Templar, and how did their principles resonate with your personal journey?
In my twenties I visited Paris for the first time and did sightseeing like all tourists. When I entered the Cathedrale Notre Dame, I instantly felt myself in a different, mental state – as Knight in full armor, filled with the Spirit of God, feeling all the virtues and the superior power of being a spiritual and worldly Knight. This mental shift of reality came along with a massive state of enlightenment where a great and powerful stream of Spirit entered my soul through the crown chakra. This lasted over three days and kept me sleepless. Obviously, this was an unusual experience and looking back it was a reinstallation of the Templar Spirit, due to old bonds of a former incarnation and in connection to this special Cathedrale. At this time, I did not understand nor see the connection to the Knights Templar. I was just fascinated by this powerful experience and the fascinating nature of being a Knight of God. Many years later I felt interested in the Knights Templar and their mysteries and so I connected to a group in Germany which was very disappointing. But here I met a Templar of the Portuguese tradition, of real lineage and initiation. I told him about my experience in Paris and he helped me to realize the connection with the Knights Templar of a former incarnation. Much later I was looking for a real lineage and found it in the Templar Research Institute where I joined then. Here I started to understand the deeper, hidden nature of the Templars, the spiritual aspects, which matched my own experiences, respectively memories of the former incarnation. To say it in a simple way, – once a Templar, always a Templar. So, this means that I have the same Spirit, virtues, etc. today like in the former life. Also, spiritual missions go on and in this special time a lot of the old Templars and Cathars incarnate to support the realization of the golden age. The work continues. I want to mention that we all make so many different experiences throughout all the incarnations that we are in the end the sum of all of them. So, you will find virtues and characteristics for example of a Buddhist in me, as well as those of an initiate of ancient religions and traditions, various cultures and countries. Indeed, we are not limited to one role, but we are all quite complex in nature.
PAA: What motivated you to write The Masters of Spirit & Matter, and what do you hope readers take away from this book?
We have a diversity of religions and spiritual traditions which all play their role in the spiritual development of mankind. Among all these movements the Templar have a special meaning due to their specific nature. If you want to realize a powerful mission, then the best choice are Templars. While other traditions focus on pure spiritual goals and accomplishments like a blissful state of unity, or the escape of the material world and the realization of Nirvana, the Templars are different. A real Templar is a vehicle of the Divine Spirit with focus on Power, Justice, Wisdom, Love, Service, Action, Perfection, Management and Goal-Achievement. It is the unity of Spirit and Matter, the merging of polarity which results in perfection. In modern terms we could say that a true Templar is a Master of Project Management with a maximum level of productivity and performance. So, if you want to realize a divine project or mission, a Templar is the best choice. Templars are the taskforce of God. And this makes them special. For the reader this means that the nature of the Templars offers inspiration for the own personal-spiritual development. The uniting of the two poles of one polarity is a spiritual mystery which accompanies the seeker on the whole path. It is all about accomplishing this divine state of unity. So, it is not directly necessary to become a Templar, but there is much which can be learned from the Templar tradition. The realization of mastery of life is offered, and this is a main topic in all my work.
PAA: Can you share a pivotal moment in your life that led you toward spiritual exploration and writing about these topics?
The deeper studies all started with the discovery of Franz Bardon´s first book. I think for most of us it is true that we compare the different spiritual teachings to find the most fitting theory and practice. So, I have studied everything which was available to complement my understanding of our world with the core work in Bardon´s system. Higher research, meeting specific people and traveling has offered many fascinating revelations and initiations which work like putting the pieces of a big puzzle together to get the great picture. So, for example, I got a deeper understanding of the Cathars and the Templars, also of the ancient magicians in Europe. It is interesting that most of the initiations have the same topics beyond the borders of tradition. And these initiations had/have great impacts on the people and their behavior and perception of life. For example, if you experience that life goes on after the physical death, you lose your fears, and your personal power gets unleashed. So, you become unstoppable. This is true for Cathars, for Templars, for the Samurai, the original assassins, and many others. In the end all spiritual topics are just the study of reality, seen from a higher point of view. Nothing special, just normal. We can compare this with someone who is imprisoned in a dark hole his complete life and suddenly gets liberated, seeing sunshine and getting fresh air for the first time. For all others it is just normal to enjoy nature, sunlight and fresh air.
Templar Teachings and Philosophy
PAA: How do you believe the Templars’ synthesis of spirituality, discipline, and mastery can be applied in modern life?
Basically, the ideas of the Templar virtues and ideals can offer orientation for the own personal development. The brilliant approach to combine the poles of polarity, of spirit and matter, for maximum mastery of life and as a well-balanced attitude towards creation is a universal and timeless principle which can be applied now and in the future for the own benefits and the greater good of all. Mastery is what we can accomplish, and mastery offers the maximum of value, of happiness, success and abundance in life. It is a positive attitude, quite contrary to the famous ideas from the East to just focus on escaping this world.
PAA: Can you elaborate on how the Templars achieved a harmonious union between spiritual and material realms? How can readers apply this principle today?
Life is all about balance. The spiritual path is all about balance. All beings, even atoms and molecules strive for a state of balance. The Templars realized this state of balance perfectly in the frame of their situation. They were monks and knights at the same time, strong in both poles, and the elite of them had a higher, spiritual background knowledge including initiations. Today, we do not need to fight. Today, we can use this attitude and power to realize spiritual-social projects to educate and empower people worldwide. So, the mission has changed. It is the combination of the best of two worlds, – of the spiritual world and the material world. As the Templars say, “Spiritualize the material and materialize the spiritual.” And that´s it. Very simple, but super powerful in its effects. In the end, we all have to ask ourselves how we can unite material aspects of life with spiritual ones. The better we get this done, the more we benefit from a state of true balance and happiness.
PAA: How does aligning actions with universal laws contribute to personal growth according to Templar teachings?
In fact, it is all about knowing the laws of creation and applying them for maximum success. If you violate the laws or ignore them, you cause suffering and trouble for yourself, for others and for your project. We are made of these laws and the whole creation works on the basis of these laws. It is like mathematics or physics. Imagine you want to build a bridge. You can do it somehow, but if this bridge will be able to work is a different question. As a master, knowing the laws of statics, you can calculate the construction of the bridge, so that it can fulfill its purpose. Or, let´s take a different example. If you want to design a house, you ask an architect, not a baker. The law of analogy. This principle is valid for spiritual development and training too. The more balanced the training concept is and with this, the more it follows the laws, the better and healthier the progress will be. The opposite is extreme, one-dimensional training which violates the laws and causes many health issues.
Practical Applications
PAA: What practical methods from the Templars’ teachings would you recommend for cultivating inner strength during challenging times?
A central aspect is the role model and archetype of a Knights Templar. It is the combination of a spiritual “monk” and the noble Knight with all his virtues. We can transfer this into being a “Knight of God” who serves the Divine Will for the greater good of all. You can meditate on these ideas to integrate them into yourself. A true or let´s say higher Templar is an enlightened person, empowered by God. So, initiation plays a major role and faith. These aspects can be combined with normal spiritual training to strengthen the center of will power, the heart center and the crown center.
PAA: Are there specific techniques or practices from your book that help build resilience in everyday life? If so, could you describe them?
The more you do spiritual training, meditation, and prayers, the stronger you become. Your personal level of energy will rise and this will bring resilience. Realizing an abundance of energy and balance in yourself offers the best type of resilience, including detachment.
PAA: How does one achieve mastery over both mind and matter as suggested in your book?
Realize the Divine Spirit in yourself and you are a master of life and creation. Study management and project management make you a master of the material world. It is about divine authority, will power, creator skills and management skills.
Spiritual Growth
PAA: According to your research on the Knights Templar, what pathways lead most effectively toward spiritual enlightenment?
The path of the Templars was based on vows like monks and knights must make, then on the corresponding service and lifestyle, and if you have proved faith, virtues, right attitude, etc. you were chosen for initiation and a leadership role. Prayers and meditations played certainly also a role. The initiations were a matter of enlightenment and empowerment, installing new masters of the Order. Then, depending on your status further initiations took place, for example into the reality of the higher realms and life after death, and the offering of the chalice of eternal life. In general, there was a bright spiritual knowledge available, including sciences like alchemy and astrology, and the Templars were well connected with the spiritual traditions of their time.
PAA: How did the Knights balance their deeply spiritual lives with practical responsibilities like managing vast resources or military duties? Are there lessons here for modern individuals seeking similar balance?
The Templars were masters in management and project management, and additionally they had great support by a lot of people like own farmers and own hospitals, etc. Management skills and the military structure offered a maximum of efficiency in all tasks. These values and ideas can be transferred into our modern world.
PAA: In what ways can contemporary seekers apply ancient wisdom without losing relevance or effectiveness in today’s fast-paced world?
Today no one has time, but pressure is everywhere. Imagine being a Knights Templar under war conditions – you are always on the run and forced to be highly efficient and super productive. “Running” is an attitude. I am running the whole time to get everything done in this life too. Certainly, there must be also times of peace and recovery. Pushing yourself let´s you realize a lot in shortest time. Time is very precious and easily wasted. So, if you have great goals, you should keep running.
Personal Development
PAA: Your book emphasizes self-discovery as part of personal development. Could you outline some steps readers might take toward deeper self-understanding using Templar principles?
This is a complex topic which follows in main the traditional steps of introspection, purification, healing, vitalization, refinement and the induction of the Divine Spirit. The work with the Divine Spirit is probably unique.
PAA: How do readers uncover their purpose using insights from The Masters of Spirit & Matter?
Self-mastery and becoming a master of life, a master in creation is the potential which is set in the human soul. It is up to us to realize these high states of perfection. It is a natural development over many incarnations, and if it is your will, you can undergo consciously a spiritual training to realize your potential in a short time. Mastery is a general idea. So, we can become a general master of life as well as a master in a specific art or science or field of life. It is our free choice. My book might inspire the reader to realize his own mastery in a way that fits individually.
PAA: What strategies would you suggest, based on Templar teachings, for overcoming obstacles that hinder personal growth or achieving goals?
It is the absolute faith of the monk and the power of the knight which are here utilized. This combination helps to achieve all goals.
Intersections with Other Disciplines
PAA: In what ways do Templar teachings intersect with other philosophical traditions (e.g., Hermeticism) that emphasize unity between spirit and matter?
When you imagine that the leaders of the Templars all came from the elite of society with great background in all types of education and teachings, also various spiritual traditions, and then that they were well connected in the mediterranean region with the various religious and traditional leaders, – you can easily say that they had and still have an abundance of secret knowledge.
PAA: How have interpretations of Templar wisdom evolved over time? Are there any historical contexts crucial for understanding these interpretations correctly today?
Corresponding to our modern times psychology was integrated and other secret societies have unfolded their influences on the Templar tradition. The core of teachings is universal in nature and does not change, but other aspects of were adapted to the changes of time and society. There is much space for research and not all secrets are unveiled. Also, today not everyone is a real Templar but there are various groups with different goals.
PAA: Do Templar principles hold cross-cultural relevance? If so, how might they be adapted across different cultural backgrounds without losing their essence?
Most principles are universal in nature and even in the ancient times several cultures, also religions and traditions were involved and connected in the Templar work. So, everyone can feel free to study these ideas.
PAA: From a psychological perspective, how does integrating spiritual practices influence mental health or well-being according to Templar wisdom adapted into modern contexts?
God is the source of life and vitality, so if you serve God and if you undergo the spiritual training, you will benefit a lot in terms of health, indeed in all fields of life. Unity with God means true fulfillment, happiness and mastery.
PAA: Given ethical considerations around power dynamics within historical orders like the Knights Templar, how should contemporary practitioners approach these aspects responsibly while still benefiting from ancient knowledge systems?
Ethics are essential and today it is more the universal approach which is certainly also reflected in the esoteric teachings of Jesus. Personal development, refinement and the unity with God are in the focus. Today we must support the development of mankind towards a better future for all.
Community and Philosophy
PAA: The Knights were known for strong fraternal bonds. Are there lessons here about building supportive communities focused on mutual support rather than competition?
Spiritual Brotherhood is super important and one of the most important experiences we can have. It is holy and lasts over time and space. Brothers will recognize each other in all incarnations. The bonds are most powerful. Brotherhood means teamplay, not competition. It is comparable to teams in the special forces, – perfect interaction, absolute trust, true loyalty.
PAA: Could you explain more about the philosophical underpinnings behind “spiritualizing matter” versus “materializing spirit”?
It is the great process of alchemy. The material world gets spiritualized, refined, while the Divine Spirit unfolds and realizes in our material world. The result of this process is the golden age, the state of perfection and balance.
PAA: For someone who has never explored such deep philosophical concepts before but is interested, where should they start applying actionable wisdom derived directly from Knight’s philosophy into daily routines?
I suggest meditating on the archetype of a noble knight, making a list of all his virtues, his skills, his powers, mindset and attitude. In a second step, you can add the spiritual aspect, asking yourself what it means to be a knight of God, an authority in creation and a servant of God and creation at the same time. When you have a clear picture, you can grow into this role model, implementing it in your life, identifying with a Knights Templar. In other cultures, we find the idea of the spiritual warrior which is similar. The Templars certainly have a Christian background.
Challenges and Future Perspectives
PAA: Given societal pressures against introspection versus action-oriented lifestyles, what advice would you offer regarding maintaining commitment toward internal transformation amidst external demands?
It is a matter of setting preferences and goals in your life. Besides this, there are times where we are forced to focus more on the outer world, and other periods where we have more space for internal practices. In the end, it is important to find an individual balance between outer and inner action. Practically speaking, if you can manage half an hour of spiritual training every day, you will make good progress. Students who try to do training over hours daily stop completely as it is just too demanding. So it is better to have half an hour or one hour per day, and simple exercises during breaks, than too extreme training which does not work out.
PAA: Looking forward, how might future generations continue evolving these timeless principles while ensuring they remain relevant yet stay true to their original essence within a changing global landscape?
The old and the ancient powers and paths of spiritual development are still there, partially hidden in plain sight. Those who are looking for them will find them. The essence will never change and real masters will continue to incarnate to teach new generations. I will support these processes with my own platform for mystics and especially with the Mystical Order of the Universal Initiates. Here a well-balanced system for personal development is offered and together we will engage in spiritual-social projects to support the development of mankind. The Spirit is always the same. Only his clothes are changing in the frame of time and culture.
PAA: Thank you, Ray, for your time and continuing to inspire us all with your writing.

The Master Course is an 18-Month Curriculum leading to Magical Independence. If you intend to take this training as far as you can and actually experience what so many can only read about then the Master Course is a rare opportunity to access everything you need. Regardless of your experience, if you follow the instructions in each course and invest the recommended number of hours into your practice then in 18-Months you will be pleasantly surprised with what you are now capable of.
The Master Course allows you to purchase ALL of the courses in the 18-month curriculum, the reason to do this is to obtain a big saving and secure access to everything you need to take you from zero experience to a level of proficiency where you can generate your own Akasha and Non Dual Light (See the importance of that here), as well as invoke and evoke with a full understanding of the underlying mechanisms leaving you free to explore the magical universe. You will know how to wield the elements, create rituals, charge objects and magical spaces, perform evocations and so much more…you will know how to do these things and most importantly you will know why it works.
Each level of the curriculum is listed below. We also wrote about the benefits of the Master Course here, and here we provided an extended preview of each course – up to 30 mins for many of the courses – this provides enough information to make an informed choice as to whether the material is for your or not.

Franz Bardon’s Kabbalah (Quabbalah) is a system of three-point meditation, is a universal teaching of great antiquity and depth. Throughout the ages, adepts of every time and place have achieved the highest levels of magical attainment through the understanding of sound, color, number and vibration as embodied in the Kabbalah. It involves working with 27 letters that represent different energies on multiple levels. This Kabbalah serves as an internal system of cultivating personal abilities to harness natural forces, rather than relying on external rituals or entities.

18. Sixty Skills Question and Answer
April 2024 – Q&A for Master Course and Kabbalah Students
October 2024 – Q&A for Master Course and Kabbalah Students
Planetary Kabbalah is an advanced esoteric practice that involves placing the energetic essences or “power aspects” of planets within different parts of one’s body in order to generate specific effects. This is akin to working with multi-letter Kabbalistic practices from the Franz Bardon lineage. However, to even begin studying Planetary Kabbalah, one must first master the foundational “mother letters” representing the elemental forces of fire, air, water, earth, and akasha, as well as develop the ability to discern between the vital, astral, mental, and akashic emanations of energy.
After gaining mastery over the elemental forces, the next step is to work through a series of planetary meditations, starting from the near-Earth planets out to at least Jupiter, or ideally all the way out to Pluto if taking a more modern approach. This process, which can take 18-36 months, allows the practitioner to intimately understand the individual effects of each planet’s energy upon the human body. Only then can one begin the actual practice of Planetary Kabbalah by emplacing the spirits or power aspects of planets, rather than their associated intelligences, into specific areas of the body.
One basic Planetary Kabbalah technique described is the “kabbalist’s or magician’s prayer,” where the Moon’s power aspect is placed at the solar plexus to generate an astral field, and the Sun’s power aspect is placed at the heart center to create a balanced, unified force. More advanced practices involve placing multiple planets within the body in specific configurations to produce desired effects, which is akin to “playing chords” with these planetary energies. After mastering Planetary Kabbalah, even higher levels exist, such as Zodiac Kabbalah, followed eventually by working with the energies of the Sephiroth itself. But first comes Planetary Kabbalah, something you will rarely see discussed let alone practically explained in the way Sixty Skills does in this course.
