# The Path of Manifestation: Understanding How the Universe Works – Part 2

## Introduction

Welcome to the second part in our three-part series on how the universe works, specifically the path of manifestation. Now, the path of manifestation is just that—it's about bringing things into existence. Another way of saying that is taking this undifferentiated level of existence, that non-dual level, the god, go-head Divine Providence, the true Nirvana—whatever you want to call it—and breaking it down into more discreet, separate pieces to allow reality to express itself.

[See Part 1 here](https://staging13.perseusarcaneacademy.com/post/how-the-universe-works-the-path-of-enlightenment/).

## A Quantitative Approach to Manifestation

Number one, this is going to be a more quantitative approach to things than qualitative, which is a fancy way of stating it's going to be more power-oriented. Power, in this regard, is very, very important. All of the different things you need to do to express power have to be well done, fully engaged, and strong in order to bring things into manifestation. In the SixtySkills system, or IIH from Franz Bardon, we talk about the importance of [body training](https://sixtyskills.com/body-training-basics-the-yoga-of-strength/). This is a key component to manifestation; if you haven't done this kind of work, manifestation for the most part isn't going to work very well - this aspect is dealt with in the Master Course tackling physical development from various angles. But I'll get to some specifics regarding that as well.

## Single-Point Focus

Two, there's going to be a big—pun intended—focus on single-point of focus exercises. If you look at masters of physical manifestation—and I'm talking about the examples where we can determine this actually happened and wasn't some kind of scam—all the practitioners have something in common. They tend to be very advanced practitioners of single-pointed focus exercises or sahati-type exercises. You need to be, pun intended, on point regarding all of those because it's interesting in that you're taking this undifferentiated, diffuse level of reality and turning it into something concrete. Just as the example of carbon being compressed in order to create a diamond, well, you end up with a very similar phenomenon here. Simply put, you need to be able to hold your attention at the tip of a pen, and you need to be able to do this for extended periods of time in order to take these kind of ethereal ideas and turn them into something solid. This seems to be one of the key components of that. For what it's worth, in the various intelligences I've spoken to over the years—or IE Spirits regarding physical manifestation—they have all been very adamant: you need to be able to hold single-pointed focus for about an hour, and that can be done, but it may take you a few years to get there.

## Balancing Manifestation and Enlightenment

So if you're interested in physical manifestation or the path of manifestation, get cracken three. And this shouldn't need to be said, but some of our more mentally oriented folks seem to miss the point on this one: the path of manifestation is about getting things done. This is important because a lot of traditions, particularly out of Asia, overvalue the path of enlightenment. Now, they do this at the expense of the path of manifestation, the result of which is those societies can have very enlightened people but their technology is often primitive in comparison.

Let's talk about this a little bit. Buddhism, for example, is again very much a path of enlightenment type thing that doesn't pay a whole lot of attention to the path of manifestation. But if you go to ancient China, who invented writing, meters, engineering, medicine—well, that was the dos. And in dosm, the path of manifestation and the path of enlightenment are equally valued. This is also true in Western meditation or what's known as hermetics. In hermetics, the path of enlightenment and the path of manifestation are considered equally valuable.

Now, there is something important here that has to be kept in mind: if you're just doing manifestation, it's easy to get sidetracked and never work on enlightenment. In theory, the best approach is to pursue enlightenment first because, honestly, it shouldn't take much more than a year or two, and then work on manifestation. Why? Well, if you've had that enlightened experience, you're then in contact with your true inner nature—some people would call this God. This is going to reduce the frequency with which you, to be blunt, act like a douchebag. If you just pursue the path of manifestation, it's easy to never get around to doing the enlightenment work—that's really what it comes down to. But if you don't pursue manifestation, you have no ability to express your enlightenment. Again, that's that kind of chicken-and-egg, circular, firing squad problem. The bottom line is: to be a fully developed human being, you need to do both, but ultimately, the path of manifestation is about getting things done. For what it's worth, from what I've gathered over the years—last three decades of the meditative experience incarnating in the here and now in this world that you and I live in—is very difficult to do. Number one, there's a long waiting line in order to be able to do so; number two, there's a long waiting line; and number three, if you choose to do nothing with your life when you have the opportunity to do something with your life, it would appear the punishment for that in the afterlife is quite severe. This is not a place where you just hang out. Along those lines, I've frequently seen people who achieved a certain level of enlightenment and then basically died shortly thereafter—they weren't doing anything here, so there was no point in them hanging around. The path of manifestation is about getting things done; keep that in mind.

## The Mechanism of Expression

What's the most common method for engaging the path of manifestation? The most common path for doing this is to place an idea, thought form, mental construct—if you will—on the astral level of existence. If you do this often enough and you pump enough energy into it long enough, generally speaking, that thing that you're picturing will come to pass; it will actually happen. This is one of the reasons why rich people tend to stay rich, poor people tend to stay poor, sick people tend to stay sick, weak people tend to stay weak, and strong people tend to stay strong—because they're subconsciously putting this picture of what they want or what they perceive themselves to be into the astral, and it feeds itself. Pretty simple. You know, Arnold Schwarzenegger was by a pool with reg Park, the most famous bodybuilder of Arnold's early career, and he talked about having this vision that he was a king on a mountain, on a throne, and all these other kinds of things happened. Those kinds of positive visualization drills—lots of these manifestation experts give you—they work. You have to give it the effort.

## The Bottleneck

Now we're about to get to the catch part of this in a moment, but that's the most common approach for manifestation magic. However, now we get to my favorite part of the path of manifestation—it's called the bottleneck. If you want to manifest something in your life, you have to give it a mechanism for doing so. As one manifestation expert once said, you can work the most kickass Jupiter ritual you want, but if you're a bum living on a street corner, the best you're going to do is find a wallet with a couple hundred bucks in it. Why? Because that's all of the work you've done to give expression to that energy that you just put out into the subtle worlds. If you want to physically manifest something, you have to give it a mechanism of expression. No mechanism of expression, no expression. And I can tell you, if you put all of this work into the subtle world through ritual or internal power and you don't give it a mechanism of expression, you're going to fall prey to a lot of delusions—you’re going to have a lot of visions—all of this, because that energy has to bleed out somewhere. It can't just stay static in one place; it has to move, has to express itself. But that doesn't mean it's going to express itself in the way you necessarily want it to.

When I was working with Jupiter rituals a couple of years ago, I had this very intense vision of being in Paris for Fashion Week—pred-aorte type stuff—and in the crowd with all these celebrities and all this other kind of stuff. Fine, well, eventually I was featured in a documentary that was never released. Here's the thing: I'm not an actor, I have no connections to Hollywood, I am not part of the Jet Set, I am not part of the fashion scene. So no matter how strongly I manifested that vision, without becoming those other things, a small indie documentary that was ultimately never released was as close to that as I could get. It was a great experience, and being on set was a lot of fun, but again, if you want something to manifest, you have to give it a mechanism of expression, or it doesn't happen.

That said, using things like manifestation magic through the path of manifestation—wealth magic and all this other kind of stuff—can greatly accelerate your rate of progression. If you're willing to do the work, you wind up with that chance meeting with a big donor in an elevator; you run into another individual working on something comparable to what you're working on; you get together—everything happens. But you have to do the work, and this leads to Part B of the bottleneck issue.

## Physical Manifestation and the Final Challenge

Physical manifestation is physical manifestation in a real setting—a sheet of paper on fire, for example. That kind of thing, yeah, it happens. I've never met anybody who had an innate ability at it. I've had many encounters with people who've had experiences with it. This is kind of the problem in that, like with a lot of esoterica, if you don't have the right training methodology, you can get bottlenecks at certain levels of reality. The biggest one we have is the bottleneck of subtle energy at the astral or vital or near physical—not being able to translate directly into the physical world. And this is confusing because the theory works perfectly well on the way up the path of enlightenment. You make energies more diffuse, you gather things together—boom—it kicks over; everything works as it should. On the way back down, from the non-dual to the osic to the mental to the astral, that whole process works exactly as it should. But that final step between the astral or vital and the physical seems to take a little something else. So single-pointed focus exercises are certainly a part of this. The people I've met who pulled this stuff off have pulled it off occasionally, but they can't generally do it on command. Maybe one of you wonderful people out there can figure out what the missing ingredient in the secret sauce is.
