## The Elsewhere of Love

Imagine what would become of us in this mundane existence without the elsewhere of love. How would we live such despicable lives without loving and being loved?

Love makes life beautiful. Love makes life radiant. It is the anima mundi of the alchemists; it can be both the dawn and the twilight. It is the primal symbol of existence. It is the primordial source of creation. It is the perfect and perpetual dance of the number 1 and the number 2.

It is the purest expression of life.

Without love, life is brief. Without love, flowers wither. Without love, life consumes itself.

Love is the most sublime of mysteries, the most delightful of perfumes, the most beautiful of landscapes — the strongest of fuels. There are mysteries in love.

Love is like the color of blood. It is like a woman carrying a child in her arms. It is like the smile of a couple, the laughter of a child. It is the hope in the eyes of the grieving, the youth of the elderly, the faith of the captive.

Love is the primal cell. The central point. The departure and the return home.

It is the unspoken poetry. It is the blossomed flower.

May our hearts be filled with love and gentle nostalgia—like in the days when we smiled for no reason, when we were innocent to the workings of evil, when nothing mattered more than to love and be loved.
