# Perseus Community is Live!

## Introduction

Welcome, I am excited to say that the [Perseus Community](https://community.perseusarcaneacademy.com/) is now live.

We created this community for two reasons, firstly we wanted to have private areas where our students could discuss course materials and ask questions to our teachers. A place where there could be direct messages between student and teacher, a place where teachers could do live classes and events that was not reliant on social media platforms.

Secondly, we wanted to recapture some of the magic of online forums and communities. Back in the early 2000's when there was real excitement to see if you had replies on your post, to see threads unfold.

So now it is over to the community, all our course groups are now on the new platform. If you think you should be in a group then do let me know either by emailing me at contact@perseusarcaneacademy.com or just join the platform and send me a direct message.

## Public Discussion Areas

Any discussion space that says public can be joined, once joined you can post. The feed shows posts from all public discussion spaces even if you have not joined them. Private discussion areas are of course private, and you will only see those in your feed if you are a member of that area.

## View any Public Discussion

You can click join and view any public discussion with no requirement to sign up. Though if you want to make a post or reply to a post then it will ask you to log in if you already have an account or sign up. If you do sign up it is a new log in and has no relation to our current course platform...but in future the courses will also all be on this platform as well.

## Students of Franz Bardon

We started our group on Facebook many, many years ago and that group now has over 3,000 members! It is our hope that at least some of these members can come over to the new platform. The reason being is that what we have created is organised by topic labels for every step, this is not a resource that just disappears in an endless scroll as the years go on. With correct labelling which is part of the posting process everything will be searchable by IIH Step 1-10. This makes our long-term goal of this becoming an archive much more achievable as we are building with a clear system from the ground up.

I will not go through every discussion area we have but we do cover all the major Eastern and Western Traditions and we are inviting experts in those fields to join the discussion.

## Leaderboard

Every thriving community has its torch-bearers—the members whose insights are so valuable you want to copy-paste them before they vanish down-feed. Our **Leaderboard** is designed to spotlight those contributors and thank them in a tangible way.

Here’s the plan:

- **Track the Impact.** The leaderboard automatically tallies posts, but quality counts most. Thought-provoking questions, clear walkthroughs, field reports, and generous troubleshooting all earn extra weight.

- **Monthly Recognition.** At the end of each month, we review the top names and the substance behind their scores.

- **Real Rewards.**

**Course discounts** on new and flagship programs

- **Priority seats** for live training and workshops

- **Hand-picked books and resources** to deepen your practice

- **Tailored Appreciation.** Rewards aren’t one-size-fits-all. We’ll match perks to each winner’s interests—whether that’s a Martial Arts intensive, an Alchemy lab session, or the next Bardon deep-dive.

Contribute, inspire, and help your peers level up. We will do our best to make sure the effort never goes unnoticed.

## Events

In the next development phase we are adding events with an event calendar. You will be able to RSVP to any event, and for the most part these events will be recorded and added to our event library so it can be rewatched at any time. These events will range from QnAs with our teachers, follow along training sessions, lectures and more.

## Direct Message and Chat

To facillitate better communication between fellow students and teacher we have added the direct messaging and the option of having a chat function connected to each discussion area.

## We need your help

At the end of the day even though it is nice to have lots of features and an attractive interface it is not the most important thing.

Platforms thrive—or wither—on participation. A thoughtful question can ignite a week-long thread; a concise field report can become required reading for future students. **Polite, constructive interaction is our bedrock**. The more we converse, the faster this hub evolves into the definitive archive it’s meant to be.

So choose a Space (or three), click **Join**, and leave your digital footprint: a greeting, a question, a resource, a revelation, even just an introduction.

This is something we are putting together to last for years ahead to become something of an archive for the actual practice of these arts. Help us build something special.
