# Appetizers of Lunar Magic – Guest Post by Gabriel

## A dissertation on the unknown

Lunar magic is perhaps the most unknown and least explored among magical workings. Much of this is due to the fact that occultists of the past focused heavily on Goetia or on communication with angels.

But the Moon, by its own right, holds considerable dominion over the zone of the Earth. In truth, through the Moon, a myriad of beings from the zones of the stars can manifest in Malkuth. The Moon is like a powerful Major Arcana that exercises authority over the Earth. Some of the things it governs: growth, maintenance, and degradation of the realms. It judges, defines, and creates the destinies of all beings in the Earth’s zone. It serves as a form of segregation for the particles of beings that live in the Earth’s zone, so that they do not disintegrate. It also ensures that the intensity of the wrath from the zone of the Sun does not destroy the lives of human beings and other creatures, among many other things...

Within the Moon, there exists a multitude of mythological, fantastical, and unknown beings who live joyfully in that zone. There are many working spirits who carry torches and more torches of fire into the zone of the Moon, so that, through trade, the inhabitants of the transitional zones may maintain warmth in their bodies.

Cold in the zone of the Moon is not so important. What is important is to maintain a personal inner core of living sun or fire, thus allowing the lunar aura to arise within the inhabitant of that zone.

Depending on which part of the lunar zone one reaches, it is possible to encounter many of its inhabitants. In the Moon, there are human travelers who work by developing dances to assist the flows of life that seek to manifest. The Moon crystallizes the necessary forms for life, as well as assists in shaping the desires that pass through it. The astral plane, as a whole, has as its necessary sovereign the vibrations of the Moon.

There is a continuous exchange of flow and reflux between the zone of the Earth and the zone of the Moon, and through this exchange, an almost divine bond is created between the lunar world and the Earth’s zone.

The adept who is able to work with the lunar zone may prolong their life indefinitely, become beautiful and gentle, and, moreover, be free from any physical or psychic illness. But these are more advanced stages. For today, we will stop here.
